Extraordinary Passion

Make this world a better place to live by showing that everybody can be a prodigy.

Am I ordinary? Or am I something extra?

This is the crazy question around 99.99999999999999% members of the human race torture themselves with every day( more like every minute),

Whew!!!!!

So , today I would like to talk to you about this global killer.

The one fact I  always try to get through is the uniqueness of every person walking on this planet. We are all part of the one man show by planet earth in the solar system.

I would like to start this discussion with a small statement.

There are no extraordinary people. There are only people with extraordinary passion and determination.

You would probably be wondering if I have ever seen the YouTube homepage.

Yes, yes I’ve seen all those videos about child prodigies.

But the thing is, are you sure you are not a prodigy too?

We all have things we do best. As a kid if we were brought into contact with the talents we have now or are still hidden, who knows if the world will have any more prodigies.

The key is passion.

There are some things we love, even if we may not be good at it. And there are some things we don’t like even though we may be really good at it. These are what I call passion. If you keep loving something even though you keep on failing that is absolutely passion. But the things you love, and are good at too, are also a part of this amazing word. It just means that you were able to find that part of you were passion and talent comes together. You my friend, can be a prodigy.

But what about those times when you love it so much and you still can’t get the hang of it?

There may be something you have not yet found. The key info.

Or the real passion may be just a part of what you really love.

Let’s put it like this.

This may not be a practical example. But it may help you understand what I am saying.

Suppose you try to play football but you can’t seem to get the hang of it. You play basketball and you see that you love it and that you are good at it too. So basically your talent was playing basketball. But your passion was simply playing with a ball.

So, in my theory, talent and passion are related. I don’t know how to give you a Venn diagram on it but I hope you get the idea.

I know this idea may be crazy and I hope you will respond with your ideas and opinions as well.

God bless you, have a wonderful week and may unlock your hidden talents.

Make this world a better place to live by showing that everybody can be a prodigy.

The coloured question. . .

Enjoy the beauty around you today and thank God for making it in a way that surpasses your understanding and imagination.  Science has helped us to stare with wonder at the magnificent blueprints of life. But the purest form of enjoyment lies in the simple and humble beauty.

For the last few days, I was trying to figure out the answer to a very silly question.

Why is almost every plant on our planet green? Why wasn’t it all blue?

I am not asking you why we see it as green, I am asking you why it was made green in the first place.

Really??!!!

I know it’s a crazy question but for every silly question, there is a probability for an equally reactive answer that may be incredibly deep.

Though I am strong Christian and absolutely a theist, I decided to think about this rationally. Just to see where it leads.

Want to know my answer?

I would love to tell you what it is in a short sentence, but it was a picture. It was a picture of different textures. Some of it was done in watercolour, some in pencil, some in oil. But it created many layers.

My first approach was imagining an earth were all the green plants were replaced with an other colour. Man, I just wanted to run away. Let’s just describe it as disturbing.

One thought led to another.

Green for me, was one of the best colours that would fit for nature.

Well, I was born into green nature, so it could just be that I am so used to it. But there are things we are born into, colours we don’t like even though it may have been a part of our lives for a long time.

Here, came the first train of thoughts I took.

It doesn’t matter what theory you believe in. It doesn’t matter if it’s evolution or the Big Bang. Or maybe you are a theist like me.

The question is can you explain the love of one creation for another.

If it was just a big bang or a long process of evolution, what possibility is there that the end products will still be able to appreciate each other’s beauty?

There has to be a predesigned plan.

For a long time, we have been throwing God out of the equation. We like to think of ourselves as independent.

When I thought about this, I was amazed. I was able to enjoy nature to an extent that I could not explain it. Wow!!!

The emotional stability and the unknown equation that helps us to respond in a way that others can understand our feelings is in itself a miracle.

Science has helped us to stare with wonder at the magnificent blueprints of life. But the purest form of enjoyment lies in the simple and humble beauty.

I don’t know if I am able to completely convey to you everything I learnt from this one truth. I hope you got something. God bless you. Enjoy the beauty around you today and thank God for making it in a way that surpasses your understanding and imagination.

My teddy bear!!

I believe we owe our little friends an apology for underestimating their problems.

‘I want me teddy! My teddy go!’

Ever heard that from a 3 year old? He means business. If that teddy bear ends up in your pocket or your bedroom drawer, you’re technically dead( if you don’t survive with major bruises)

Whoa!!!

We all have experiences with little kids. It’s maybe our baby brother or the little kid next door. In my case, I have a little sister. And I remember how we used to fight a lot over silly things like a potato chip or a cookie. Me being older, would end up winning because of matured diplomatic skills( funny isn’t it?)

Now that I’ve made you laugh( I certainly hope so) and your mind is clear, I would like to go into our post.

Have you ever thought that the problems a kid faces are so much smaller than yours?

I have. . .

But these days, I’ve realised that problems for them, are just as troubling.

Want to know why?

Here goes. . . .

When you are a kid, the farthest you may have been forced to venture in the world of problems would be around a teddy bear or an ice cream. But the point is that that’s all you’ve seen so far. A child’s brain is going to give him that mix of emotions when he loses his ice cream, that we humans all have when we face what we think has been our greatest problem so far.

Let’s say for the sake of conversation that that kid was born employed at a company. Let’s say that he saw first hand what it is to work and have major stress( as we call it). Well, then if he still goes on about teddy( which is highly unlikely), you have every right to be mad at him.

When I was in tenth grade, I thought that it was the hardest year I had come across, but now in my twelfth grade, believe me, I envy the tenth graders. When my seniors said tenth grade was so easy, I could not understand. I was going through major educational stress.

when you’ve reached twelfth grade, your mind has grown and you’ve been exposed to more stress. So when you look from your new position, what has been passed seems so small. It’s like climbing a mountain. When you look down, everything that has been passed seems so easy compared to what you are going through and what is before you.

So, to all the teddy-bear-toddlers, I believe we owe our little friends an apology for underestimating their problems. Please do join in on the conversation with  your opinions and experiences. God bless you!!!
