Sunshine Blogger Award!

It’s so awesome to be part of something like this. I’d like to thank my dear friend, Stuart L. Tutt for nominating me. He shares his life, the highs and he lows, at his site over at stubaby777.wordpress.com. He loves God and it’s a great joy to be a part of his life here at WordPress.

So without further ado, let’s get into it.

Here are the rules :

• Thank the person who nominated you and provide a link back to him/her.

• Answer the 11 questions provided by the blogger who nominated you.

• Nominate 11 other bloggers and ask them 11 new questions.

• Notify the nominees by commenting on one of their blog posts.

• List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo on your post.

Here are Stu’s questions to his nominees along with my answers to them:

1. What brings joy to your life?

First of all, my family brings a great deal of joy into my life. A lot of great friends (including the ones here at WordPress) also are a big part of my life. But when it comes down to it, on a very personal and intimate level, I find great joy in art. Although music is what I enjoy most, I still find a great deal of joy in many other art forms. And I’m thankful to God for that every single day.

2. If money was not an issue, what would be your dream job?

That’s a great question. I really want to be that guy who goes on stage and does ted talks and inspires people. I really have this dream of being able to combine philosophy ,music and art and being able to present that to people. If I could make a living out of that, that would be awesome. I love being on stage and sharing something I care about.

3. What are two gifts the Lord has blessed you with, spiritually or physically?

I would say music and confidence. But that being said, there are a lot of other things that I am very grateful for. But those are the two that popped up in my brain first.

4. What post or posts touched you so deeply that you felt “everyone needs to read this!”?

That is a hard question because I’ve not been on WordPress for a long time. So, I’ll just mention one post I really enjoyed in my meagre exploring on my Reader. Tosin over at Alethea’s Mind wrote this beautiful post called Sitting. Watching. Doing. Nothing. You can read it here: https://aletheasmind.wordpress.com/2019/06/27/sitting-watching-doing-nothing/

5. Which blogger would you do a Blogger Spotlight on and why?

To be honest, Stu, you’d be one for sure. I think you have a lot to say, whether it be about your journey out of pornography or just about life.

6. What does love mean to you?

Now that is one hard question! But nevertheless, I’ll try to make it as short as I can. I believe love holds everything together. The Bible says that ‘God is love’. That’s such an interesting line. It’s the most powerful reason possible for something. And I believe that true love brings truth into perspective.

7. If you could choose one attribute of Jesus to follow closer than any other, which one would it be?

I would love to be as approachable as Jesus is.

8. In your eyes, what is the hardest part of being a Christian?

Learning the true meaning of humility.

9. What do you want to be most remembered for?

I want to be remembered by my face and not by name( I might make that into a log post in a few days). I want to be known as the one who stayed when everyone else left. I want to be someone who believed in people.

10. Which Bible verse holds the most meaning to you and why?

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21. This verse empowers me spiritually because I have been given freely a position that now gives me perspective. And this perspective is what helps me lead the life that God wants for me.

11. Since it’s July, how do you celebrate the 4th?

Since I’m Indian, I don’t necessarily celebrate July the fourth. But I’m really happy for my American friends and share in their joy. But this past July 4th, I woke up in the afternoon, had a great lunch, went out and made some music. 🙂

3 Day Quote Challenge! Day 3

manuel-nageli-575848-unsplash

Ooops!

Hey guys, I just wanted to apologise first to you all for doing my Day 3, 2 hours late. Does that still count. I am technically 2 hours and 30 minutes into Day 4. I got caught up with a lot of other things and I couldn’t make it in time. Anyway, I won’t let you down next time 🙂

But I’m still excited to do this.

Here are the rules:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you.
  2. Post a quote for three consecutive days.
  3. Nominate three other bloggers each day.

This is the last post of this challenge. I just wanted to thank 4 very special people for making this possible. If you haven’t checked them out yet, do me a favour and do so. I promise you, you’ll love them all! 🙂

2.Sunshine – https://kerri-elizabeth.com/
3.Living What You Love – https://rominascorner.wordpress.com/
4.Stuart L. Tutt – https://stubaby777.wordpress.com/

Okay, here goes………….

The last quote of this challenge if from my post ‘Life’s Orchestra’. You can get the full post at https://thefourthdimensionoflife.wordpress.com/2017/05/11/lifes-orchestra/

Life is a song sung by you. It’s up to you whether to go solo or to form an orchestra.

Why I like this quote:

In the post, I tried to make a similarity between how every life is in fact a song and how no life is useless because every song has a listener who will understand and adore it. We all have different tastes. But this particular quote deals with how we produce our song. You can  stand out there on the canvas of time and sing it all alone. Or. You can bring in all those people who love and care for you. Sometimes it’s hard bringing in other people. It leads to a lot of contrasting opinions and preferences and sometimes ends in arguments. But. at the end of the day, you have a fullness to your song. You can’t play all the instruments. Life’s not a recording studio. It moves with time. The only way to put those instruments in your song and make it an explosive work of creativity is to be a team player.

I hope you liked this quote. What did you think of it?

Comment. Share. Be a part of the movement.

Anyways………

Here are the rules:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you.
  2. Post a quote each day, for 3 consecutive days and say why it appeals to you.
  3. Nominate 3 different bloggers each day! 🙂

2.Sunshine – https://kerri-elizabeth.com/
3.Living What You Love – https://rominascorner.wordpress.com/
4.Stuart L. Tutt – https://stubaby777.wordpress.com/

Here’s my second quote. It’s from my post ‘ Look Who’s Talking’. You can read it at https://thefourthdimensionoflife.wordpress.com/2017/05/24/look-whos-talking/

You are losing out on many a great advice because you are judging the people giving them to you.

Why I think this quote is important:

Sometimes people who give advice may not be the best people to give it. They may be people who don’t follow what they say. True. But that doesn’t mean the advice is worthless or any less important. If you know that he advice is worth giving your ear to and if you feel it is going to make you a better person, accept it and follow it.

  3. Nominate 3 different bloggers each day! 🙂

I would love to thank 4 amazing people who nominated me for this challenge.

I was given four nominations. Though I would have loved to take each one and do them separately, time would not allow me. So, I decided to bring them all together and do one challenge. 🙂

Here’s to an exciting 3 days!

Since this is my first time doing this, I wanted it to be something special, something different. These 3 days are going to be a window to my earlier posts. For the next three days, each day, I am going to summarise one old post of mine into a small original quote. I hope you like it. I will also leave a link to the post in the end if you want to get the bigger picture.

Here’s the first quote!

So often life can be like a white blank room with only you and your shadow. But that shadow will tell you that somewhere in the blankness of life, there is a light shining.

This is from my post, ‘the diary entry in the cupboard’. It was a tribute to my lovely grandfather, who is a great inspiration to me, even though he is no longer here.

You can read the post here :

https://thefourthdimensionoflife.wordpress.com/2017/06/03/the-diary-entry-in-the-cupboard/

Why this quote means a lot to me:

It is a simple logic that passes through my mind when life gets tough. Whenever I’ve fallen down, God has always told me that the night is always the darkest before the dawn. This is a picture I like to think of when life gets tough. I hope it uplifts you in some way.
