Perspective

I made this animated gif today cause I felt like it was a great illustration of how I try really hard to have the right perspective on things and it just doesn’t stay the way I want it to. Growing up Christian, I was always asked to not focus on things below (worldly things) and on things above (God, eternity, etc.). Now, as I go through a crisis of faith, I find that really hard to do. I really don’t have any idea what I’m supposed to look at. Well, I’ve got a vague idea of what’s beautiful and true. However, aligning your perspective to something sounds like a big deal and I don’t know if what I know right now is of substance or worth committing to.

Question: What do you align your perspective to?

  1. Love the illustration! Very apt and got me thinking.
    My perspective is very simple…..
Believing firmly that there IS goodness in our world.
Even when all seems hopeless, SOMEONE always has my back. Although, I may not see the results straightaway.

  2. This is made me think what really perspective is aligned too. I feel perspective becomes even more important in this hustling world where we oblivion to things around us just rushing aimlessly and defining things in the way they never exist. To introspect is something we all need to better and wiser✨

  3. Perspective is a view from a vantage point. As someone on a journey I fix my eyes on the North Star, be aware of my immediate circumstances and take one step at a time. Both the destination and the journey are perspectives.
